How have I forgotten about this song?
Came to eat lunch with the kiddo, helicopters started flying over. Had a Red Dawn flashback. #wolverines
So, I have these odd thoughts and ideas. Most times they pass through my brain and that’s the end, but this one? It has stuck with me.
My girlfriend is a bibliophile and has gotten me back interested in reading the written word and given me a greater appreciation for the bound pages. My problem? I live in a place where very few “vintage” bookstores exist. Bigger cities around me have better bookshops, but my budget doesn’t allow for travels there.
That’s where you come in.
I want your books. I don’t care what they are, where they’re from, or even what language they are in, I am just loving the look and feel of old books… so, the older and more odd, the better.
Just know that this isn’t a loan, this is for keeps.
Most I plan on keeping and building up my library, sharing with her, and passing on to my little girl who, incidentally, has a growing love of books as well. Some I would give away to the local bookshop in order to keep them alive for others. But never would any of them be destroyed in any fashion.
So, help me out, why don’t you? Drop a book you don’t use in the post to the address below and know it’s getting a good home. I’ll acknowledge each and every person who sends one over in some way or another. But to start, here’s a thank you for even reading this far.
Thank you. Seriously.

In case you missed Pearl and the Beard’s “Prodigal Daughter” Extended Single last week, here’s the beautiful “Yawning” - a song from the release sung by Jocelyn with the help of her handsome and talented husband Jim Altieri. The release features 4 tracks - including brand new solo songs from each band member, and the single version of “Prodigal Daughter.”
You can find all songs from the release on the Family Records Store.
Also, don’t miss the precious music video for “Prodigal Daughter” here. Enjoy!

Not sure why I’ve never heard this before, but… wow. I need to hear more of them.
